I started this blog because I wanted to educate anyone who is interested in or in the process of adopting from Poland.
I am Polish. My two older brothers were born in Poland and my parents immigrated to the US a year before I was born. I grew up in a strong Polish community. My mother in law is also from Poland. She immigrated to this country at the age of 15. When my husband and I began researching adoption, Poland was a natural choice for us. We felt that we could provide a lot of the language and culture naturally due to our upbringing and the presence of our family.
Words cannot express how blessed we felt when we received a referral, which we had 2 weeks to accept but accepted in 5 days. Adoption has always been in my heart and I have felt the call of the Holy Spirit for several years. My husband later felt the same call. It was amazing to have this feeling become real. Three weeks after accepting the referral, we got our travel dates for our first trip to Poland to meet our little girl! This blog will mostly be devoted to our journey to bring her home!
